WellnessMats® Frequently Asked Questions
Where can WellnessMats be used?
WellnessMats can be used anywhere in the home where standing occurs. Our mats are perfect for use in the kitchen, bathroom, living room, laundry room, as well as in craft rooms, with work benches, and garages. WellnessMats are also commonly found in commercial applications as well.
Are WellnessMats environmentally friendly?
Yes, mats have a greater life expectancy keeping WellnessMats out of the landfills thus contributing to a greener environment.
What is the most popular size WellnessMat?
We have found that because WellnessMats’ 6x2 size is the best value, and fits most kitchens best, it has become our most popular size.
Can I cut or modify my WellnessMat
All WellnessMats can be cut from their original shape without damaging or affecting the properties of the mat. With our unique one piece construction, your WellnessMats will never separate or delaminate when it’s cut. However, by cutting into the mat on purpose would prohibit you from returning your mat unless there was a manufacture defect, which in this case would still be covered under your 7 year warranty. If you cut any of the no trip beveled edges off your WellnessMat, you are creating a raised surface that could become a trip hazard, in which WellnessMats would not be responsible if an injury occurred.
Will WellnessMats stain my floor?

WellnessMats are free of the paints and coatings that cause staining; our unique proprietary engineering allows the color pigment to be directly injected into the polyurethane.

Company research has found that some types of flooring, and Linoleum in particular, may be made from raw, sometimes inexpensive materials including linseed oil. This type of flooring and floors sealed with a non- urethane based sealer may have a tendency to cause slight discoloring when covered. Although very rare, a few cases are known where linseed oil or the adhesives used to seal floors have an oxidation effect due to lack of UV light over time. This adverse effect could happen with any type of floor covering. If you have any concerns about the chance of any discoloration or material reaction, it is our recommendation that you contact your floor installer to learn more about your finish.

If you have further questions, please email us and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.

Do WellnessMats have an odor?
No, the polyurethane construction of WellnessMats does not produce “off-gasing”, unlike rubber and vinyl mats.
Are WellnessMats Safe and Non-Toxic?
Yes. Polyurethane contains no PVC’s and has been rigorously tested and proven to be safe. Also, it does not produce any off-gasses, thus no noxious odors.
Are WellnessMats available in custom sizes?
The four sizes we offer accommodate most settings; we may introduce other sizes in the future.
Are WellnessMats Anti-Static?
WellnessMats 100% Polyurethane composition dramatically reduces electrostatic properties.
What does Anti-microbial mean?
Anti-microbial is a term given to an object that is capable of destroying or inhibiting the growth of disease-causing micro-organisms. Other mats use additive Anti-microbial liquid bases to coat there mats. Coated type mats tend to wear off over time and could cause the growth of bacteria. WellnessMats are 99.3% Anti-microbial – by design…inherent in our material formulation. No additives have been added.

Why do your mats seem so expensive?
WellnessMats are made of 100% polyurethane which is a petroleum base product. They’re also a molded one piece construction mat, so the costs of producing them are much higher than less expensive stitched together mats. Don’t forget though, our Best In Class WellnessMats come with a 7 year warranty. If you take an original 3’x2’ at $119.95 and divide that over 7 years, really your only paying $17.14 per year to own a premium anti-fatigue floor mat.
Can I order custom size WellnessMats?
Because of our one piece construction, all WellnessMats are a molded process. Custom sizes unfortunately are not an option because of this.
Can I get a sample piece of WellnessMat to feel and see if I like the color?
Sample pieces and colors can be requested by using our request form located on the “Contact Us” page or by calling a WellnessMats representative. Simply specify the color(s) you would like to see and we will be happy to mail out the sample(s).
